Buffy was born and raised in Michigan and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University. She fell in love with real estate in 2008, after purchasing her first home, remodeling it, and turning a profit. After repeating the process with two more houses, she knew that the world of real estate was a perfect fit for her and decided to get licensed to help others fulfill their dreams of buying and selling real estate.


Buffy makes herself available to her clients with a high level of communication and patience, and will always put the experience over the sale. She believes in giving back to her community and has been very active with numerous non-profit organizations. She gives a portion of her time to the Special Olympics Polar Plunge and was a part of the largest team with the most money raised in 2022. Additionally, she supports the Women's Division Chamber of Commerce by helping fill the local food pantries for those in need and dances with the local stars for charity with a group called the “Boss Babes.” She services the communities along the Lakeshore of West Michigan and delights in sharing what the beautiful Michigan area lifestyle has to offer her clients with her local knowledge and expertise; which include a multitude of outdoor activities offering gorgeous nature trails for walking, hiking and biking in addition to golf, boating, wonderful dining, boutique shopping along with unique events and activities for everyone. She especially likes to share with people her love of old hotrods that was handed down to her from her father, and enjoys driving them in parades and attending car shows with him.

Carol moved to Grand Haven in 1976 at the age of 9 and vacationed here her whole life as her
Aunt lived in the area near Brucker Beach. She graduated from Grand Haven High School in
1985 and was a travel agent for MTA Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel for 11 years when it
was downtown and travel agents existed. Additionally she was previously a licensed assistant to
a realtor for a year and also worked the front desk and processed for Woodland Realty, which
then became Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt. She left to pursue skincare and owned her
own business for 10 years. After she purchased and remodeled an old home and turned it into a
beautiful rental investment property called Sunnyside Up, she sold that home at a profit and
decided to return to real estate as a Realtor to help others buy and sell their homes. Carol also
has a wealth of experience in home renovation, interior decorating and staging. Her service
area is Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Fruitport, Muskegon, Holland and all areas in between. She
loves the Lakeshore and is passionate about helping people find their home and create a
lifetime of memories.
Carol believes in giving back to her community and belongs to the Ric VanWeelden Music
Foundation part of Walk the Beat. She has donated to many organizations in the area as SKIN
by Carol Lynn for over 10 years and she supports the Pier Board and works on the lighthouse
which promotes preservation of these vital parts of the community. Additionally, she loves to
run and take part in the local 5K runs as well as walk the area woods with her dogs and she is
passionate about saving the woods and plans on joining the Adopt A Hemlock organization. She
